Paris Olympics, as the curtains fell on the Paris Olympics on Sunday. India a country of 1.4 billion people left with mixed feelings over the country’s performance in the Paris Olympics. Our return from the Olympics of one silver and 5 bronze medals is very meager. The world’s most populous country couldn’t even manage to get a gold medal in any of the games in the Olympics. This is hard to digest for Indian fans.
117 Indian athletes have been competing in the Paris Olympics. But only 5 athletes and the Indian hockey team manages to get 6 medals for India. The medals won by India includes 1 silver and 5 bronze medals and no gold medal.

Neeraj Chopra secured a silver medal for India in men’s javelin throw, Manu Bhaker won a bronze medal in women’s 10m air pistol event, Sarabjot Singh with Manu Bhaker got a bronze medal in 10m air pistol mixed team event, Swapnil Kushale won a bronze medal in men’s 50m rifle 3 positions, Indian hockey team won a bronze medal in men’s hockey and Aman Sehravat got bronze in men’s 57 kg freestyle event.
Indian fans are waiting for the next Olympics for a better performance in the Olympics by the Indians. As 117 Indians participated in the Olympic games but only managed to get 6 medals 1 silver and 5 bronze.
