On Friday, Chief of Defence Staff General CDS Anil Chauhan said that today’s geopolitical environment is bad and moving towards destruction. Because of this increasing environment of destruction, everything is at stake. CDS Anil Chauhan said that India is committed to peace but it should be prepared for war.
While hosting the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) meeting. CDS Anil Chauhan said on Friday that deterrence is a credible measure to maintain peace. A peace-loving country like India should have enough “teeth” I.e. firepower.

CDS Anil Chauhan Quoted Ram Dhari Singh dinkar’s Poem:
CDS Chauhan quoted a poem by national poet Ram Dhari Singh Dinkar and said that India is fighting for peace, but India should also be prepared for war. He has further said in his opinion that the future of various countries seems to be uncertain amid the Ukraine-Russia war and the ongoing conflict in various parts of West Asia. There is a possibility of further escalation of the Hamas-Israel and Hezbollah-Israel conflict in the future.
CDS: War Integral Part of Human Life And Human Nature:
CDS Chauhan said that the world we are seeing around us is in a huge crisis. The question in everyone’s mind is whether these wars to resolve political disputes will continue to be a part of government policies, the answer is yes.
Addressing defense industry leaders, he said war is an integral part of human life and human nature. War and weapons of war have been part of human civilizations. Another important thing about war is that there is no runner-up in it. There is only one winner, who takes it all.
