In the Global Finance Central Banker Report Cards 2024 Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been rated “A+” for the second consecutive year.
Since 1994 Global Finance annually published the Central Banker Report Cards, which grade the central bank governors of nearly 100 main districts, territories, and countries, as well as the European Union, the Bank of Central African States, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, and the Central Bank of West African States.
Grades are from “A+” to “F” based on a scale for success in an area such as economic growth goals, inflation control, current stability, and interest rate management. An excellent performance is represented by “A” whereas outright failure is represented by “F”.
“With their main weapon high interest rates Central bankers have waged war against inflation over the past few years. As inflation has dropped significantly now, countries around the world are seeing the good result of these efforts.” Said Joseph Giarraputo Global Finance founder and editorial director.

Giarraputo added “Those bank leaders whose strategies outperformed their peers through creativity, originality, and tenacity are honored by Global Finance’s annual Central Banker Report Card.
Along with Shaktikanta Das, In the Global Finance Central Banker Report Cards 2024, the Central Bankers earning an A+ grade are Switzerland’s Thomas Jordan and Denmark’s Christian Kettel Thomsen, the report released on Thursday showed.
Global Finance has offices around the world and its headquartered is located in New York.
