LAC Conflict Between India And China: Relations between the two Asian countries became stressful after the fierce clash in Galban in June 2020. Now this agreement is being considered good for peace on the border between China and India.

Detachment separation of Indian and Chinese soldiers has started in eastern Ladakh. This step is taken after an understanding of the two countries is made. Defense official said on Friday that troops are retreating at two points in Demchok and Depsang plains in the eastern Ladakh sector. He further informed that Indian soldiers have started pulling back equipment to the rear locations in the respective areas. Relations between the two Asian countries had become tense after the fierce clash in Galban Valley in June 2020. Now with the understanding, there are signs of ending tension on the border between China and India.

Sources said that it would take time for the soldiers to withdraw from the disputed areas, although it can be seen that this process has already started. They said that preparations for disengagement began after this understanding. The very next day a meeting of local commanders was also held. Sources said that withdrawing the soldiers does not mean they have accepted defeat, although patrolling will start after the temporary structures blocking the way are removed. For this, the commitment of both countries towards the agreement is also necessary.

Permission granted for grazing cattle and patroling:

In his statement on Thursday, Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh said that a broad committee has been formed to restore land status along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between China and India. This also includes patrolling in traditional areas and allowing cattle to graze. Singh said in his statement that India and China are holding talks at military and diplomatic levels to resolve differences in some areas along the LAC. After the talks, a broad committee was formed to restore land status based on the principles of equality and mutual security.

Xi Jinping-PM Modi welcomed the agreement:

It is being considered a major success in ending the military standoff that has been going on for more than a year. India on Monday announced that it has agreed with China to patrol the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh. It is understood that this will start patrolling in the Depsang and Demchok areas, as there were many major unresolved issues in both these places. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping supported the India-China agreement in a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS summit. He issued instructions to restore various bilateral dialogue mechanisms, indicating efforts to normalize relations affected by the 2020 military clash. (With agency input)
