According to the latest reports, the total death count of the Spain flood disaster has reached 205 as of Friday with the coastal city of Valencia getting the worst impact. The devastating flood caused the vehicles to toss and collapse bridges and the towns getting hit by it have been covered with mud since Tuesday.
The Spain flood disaster has been said be to Europe’s worst disaster seen in decades. Neighbouring towns of Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia located in the southern regions have reported a total of 3 deaths in their region. Rescuers helicopters, drones, and sniffer dogs have been sent to search for people through water and debris as the authorities believe there might still be missing people out there.

The government of Spain has also deployed an additional 500 troops to the affected areas to reinforce the existing 1200 troops there. A total of 4500 people were rescued by the Civil Guard alone on Friday as stated by Fernando Grande-Marlaska (Interior Minister) Some areas that were cut off due to the floods also saw a shortage of basic necessities and the people had to survive for days without food, water and electricity. These areas also witnessed cases of theft as these areas were cut off from the electricity and telephone networks.
