CBSE Conduct Mental Health Workshop on 12 February
The CBSE is conducting a workshop for promoting student mental health and well-being for principals counselors and Wellness teachers of the CBSE-affiliated schools in the Delhi NCR. The workshop is scheduled to be held on 15 February from 10 am to 2 pm at Venkateshwar International School, Sector 12 Dwarka New Delhi.
It’s an official notification to the states in the face of increasing emotional and psychological challenges in today’s fast-paced world, the ability to provide immediate and compassionate support has become essential for counselors.
Mental health is not just a concept that refers to an individual psychological and emotional well-being. Rather, it’s a state of psychological and emotional capabilities, that meet ordinary demands, and function in society. According to WHO, there is not a single official definition of mental health. Thus are many factors, like cultural differences, competing professionals, and theories and subjective assessments that affect how mental experts agree Mental illness and mental health are not antonyms.
It is a health to the personality as a whole of that person and an important function of the school and Education is to safeguard the mental health of boys and girls. Psychological First Aid and Crisis Intervention are invaluable tools to help individuals navigate distressing situations and foster stability and recovery in times of need. This workshop will provide the participants with practical strategies to identify mental health issues and offer the notification to read further. Mental health is needed for the early identification of signs and symptoms of mental health issues and crisis intervention and hands-on techniques.
