‘All Eyes on Rafah’ | Sudden Bombarding On the ‘Safe Zone’

You might have seen the AI-generated ‘All Eyes on Rafah’ image on social media recently. The image describes the ongoing genocide in Rafah, Gaza. Many famous celebrities, sportsperson, social media users and content creators have re-shared the story, to aware the people about what is currently happening in Gaza, Rafah. The image was shared more than 29 million times within 24 hours.

What happened in Rafah?

The latest Israeli strikes killed over 45 Palestinians and 249 got injured at the refugee camp. The children were beheaded and burned alive in Rafah. The area was referred as ‘safe zone’, but was hit by 8 Israeli missiles on Sunday. The incident has triggered global isolation and international outrage over the war in Gaza.

After the incident, the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) shared a post saying “no one is safe now, not civilians, not workers, no one has been spared. Families are continuously seeking refuge but now there is no such safe strip left in Gaza. Gaza has become a hell”.
A small counter is taken by Israel on the image which says, “Where were your eyes on October 7?” referring to the attack in Israel which killed 1200 people and made 252 hostages. The response came after several hours when over 45 million people had already shared the post.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) declined the case of hitting Rafah with the missiles. They mentioned that the fire was totally unintentional”. They refuse to comply and say that the attack has not crossed the red-line.

People are seeking revenge for the kasmiri-pandits and Pakistani-hindus in the middle of this incident. Many posts and stories on social media depict how people are bringing religion diversity amid of the chaos. One wrote “why recall your hardships and injustice at the sight of muslim kids crying?” while the other mentioned “where was the attention and support when hindus were being injusticed?”
