Amitabh Bachchan in a recent episode of his famous reality TV show Kon Banega Crorepati shared a memory with Late Ratan Tata. He recalled how Ratan Tata once asked one of his friends for a lift home after attending an event.

Sharing his memory with Farah Khan and Boman Irani who were the guests on that episode of Kon Banega Crorepati, Amitabh Bachchan recalled how Ratan Tata asked his friend to drop him home as he did not have a car. He asked his friend for a lift as they both lived nearby.

Amitabh Bachchan also shared a story about how Ratan Tata once borrowed money from him to make a phone call. The incident took place at Heathrow Airport in Central London. Both Amitabh and Ratan Tata were on the same flight.

At the airport when Ratan Tata couldn’t locate his staff members who were supposed to receive him at the airport, he decided to make a call to connect with them. He went to a nearby phone booth to make that call but as he didn’t have any money he returned and asked Amitabh Bachchan to lend him some money so that he can make that call. Mr. Bachchan says he was surprised when he asked him to lend him money for a phone call.
