Apple Is Evolving into Launch Home Doorbell with Face ID
The next product of Apple could be a smart doorbell with a face ID that may be launched by the end of 2025. This doorbell would be wirelessly attached to a deadbolt lock. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter, the company is working to make a smart doorbell with a face ID that allows the inhabitant to unlock their doors simply by looking at the device.
The report also suggests that the lock will automatically unlock the door when a resident looks at it, meaning it would work just like you would unlock your iPhone. When a citizen proceeds towards the door then the camera would scan their face and unlock a connected deadbolt.

The facial recognition may also be equipped with the company’s Secure Enclave chip that saves and processes the images. It will work like how the Face ID unlocks the iPhone.
Apple is the World’s Most Valuable Company
Apple is the world’s most valuable company (valued at over $3.8 trillion) and is well known for the iPhone, iPad and Macintosh computers and its commitment to privacy. The company is also working on its first smart home camera, smart TV and a new HomePod mini. This smart doorbell would mark Apple’s entry into the home security market and be compatible with third-party locking systems using its existing HomeKit support.
There have been suppositions that the company is working on smart home devices that will form an ecosystem with Apple Intelligence. Furthermore, the company could also partner with a specific smart lock manufacturer. Now, Apple’s HomeKit allows buyers to securely control their home’s connected accessories via Siri or the Home app on their iPhone, iPad, Watch, and Mac.
