The dynamic champion Arshad Nadeem fought for the 1st position in the Javelin throw and won it. Arshad, 27 years old, from Pakistan, became the first athlete to script history with the highest throw in Javelin in the history of Olympics. Undoubtedly, People have no idea how this star came and shine forward. Arshad threw 2 throws which were over 90 meters in his five attempts. Neeraj Chopra on the other hand, failed to reach the 90m mark and got the second position.
Arshad Nadeem’s History:
Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal which was historic for both Olympics and Pakistan. He started his javelin career in 2015. He got a bronze medal in the South Asian Games which were held in Guwahati, India in 2016. All these medals with a national record of 78.33 meters. Arshad went from a school boy who was interested in Javelin throw to a man who scripted history in the Olympics by the highest throw of 92.97 meters. Nonetheless, he is an idol through which we can learn that hard work always pays off.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Chopra also fought for the position but he failed to reach the 90m mark and hence secured a silver medal with the second position. The third position was secured by Anderson Peters who is a Grenadian Javelin thrower. It became clear that the old rivalry of India-Pakistan came again, between Arshad and Neeraj.
Neeraj Chopra now joins the elite list of Olympic players like Sushil Kumar, wrestler, who won 1 bronze and silver, P V Sindhu, Shuttler, who won silver and a bronze. Also, Manu Bhaker who was won a bronze medal in Air pistol shooting.
Although, Neeraj secured the second place but he made a history for himself with a throw of 89.3 meters. The competition was tough yet, exciting to watch. The match gave us new champions and history scripters.
