Narendra Modi who Inaugurated the biggest sea link project “Atal Setu” in January, opened to the public, and by running over 8+lakh vehicles the bridge collected a toll of Approximately 14 crore in just 1 month. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Trans Harbour Link, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link also named Sewri-Nhava Sheva Trans Harbour Link and short named Atal Setu Bridge.

This bridge connects South Mumbai to Navi Mumbai between (Sawari and Nhava Sheva) this bridge will also link (connect) with the Mumbai-Pune Expressway which lies in the east but currently is constructed at West Coastal Road. This project is undertaken by (MMRDA) the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.

The projects are executing the distance to -15-20minutes from 2 hours to reach the destination. As we all know, Mumbai is a very busy city in India and because of everyday construction, the city has tension for its people to get home after work and those who run transport commercials.

The Atal Setu bridge can take over 70000 vehicles at once which means no traffic problems can be seen over the bridge. Project construction took place in April 2018 and it took 6 working years to build the whole bridge but some of the construction is still pending to execute completely. The material used in the bridge is Concrete-steel and Pre-cast segment viaducts, the shelf life of the bridge given by engineers is 100+ years.

Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL), is India’s longest sea bridge ever made and also the world’s 12th largest sea bridge, this bridge is a six-lane highway bridge (three lanes on each side directly) with 26 meters width and also has two lanes for emergency exits with two edge strips also gave parallel noise and crash barriers at both sides of lanes by engineers. With 21.8km long where 16.5km is above the sea, this bridge’s total cost is Rs17843 crore ($2.2billon).
