Bihar Teacher Went Viral on Social Media

Creating Instagram Reels has become a widespread obsession, with everyone from influencers to school teachers joining in. Recently, videos surfaced on X (formerly known as Twitter) showing a Bihar teacher making Instagram Reels while grading answer sheets for Patliputra University (PPU) exams.

These videos have sparked outrage on social media, with many people questioning the seriousness of exam grading and the negative impact of making Reels during this important task. The controversy has led to authorities taking action against the teacher, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed.

In one of the viral videos, the teacher appears to be grading PPU exam answer sheets but is barely looking at the papers. She is seen in a classroom with other evaluators. This video was shared on an X account called @BiharTeacherCan.

The user shared the video with the caption, “Reels of checking copies of PPU exam went viral on Instagram, FIR lodged against ma’am.”

Reactions by Users on the Viral Reel of the Teacher

Another X user, @ChapraZila, posted a video of the same Bihar teacher, now in different clothes and a different room, making another Instagram Reel. Again, she is more focused on creating the Reel than on grading the exam papers, surrounded by other evaluators.

These videos quickly went viral and received many responses from people concerned about the quality of evaluation by teachers. The videos led to an online uproar, questioning the seriousness with which some educators approach exam grading.

One user commented, “In just 30 seconds, the teacher judged and graded a student’s 3 hours of work.”

Another asked, “Is the teacher even reading what’s written on the paper?” A third added, “Many marks are being given without reading the answers, which is unacceptable.” A fourth mentioned, “This shows the reality of our education system.”

The incident highlights the growing trend of educators getting distracted by social media and raises concerns about the integrity of the exam evaluation process. It underscores the need for stricter regulations and oversight to ensure that teachers perform their duties with the seriousness and dedication that students’ hard work deserves.
