Narendra Modi is all set to take the Oath for the 3rd time as the Prime Minister but there has been an unexpected downfall in the votes for BJP. The opposition, Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Trinamool Congress made it to the Lok Sabha majorities.
BJP in Chandigarh:
The results have not been positive for BJP with the State Assembly polls this year. Congress has snatched a major share of votes which should be a topic of worry for BJP. \With easily winning 10 seats in the 2019 elections, BJP failed to sweep the votes for this time. The party managed to get only 5 seats with reduced margins in Chandigarh. Aam Aadmi Party lost in a close fight whereas Congress made a comeback by winning 5 seats in Chandigarh. Main reasons for losing the seats in Chandigarh were farmer’s issue, old pension scheme and Agnipath scheme.
Haryana:
Manohar Lal Khattar won by a margin of 2.3 lakh votes. Khattar has led the party in parliamentary polls with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Khattar has been replaced with Nayab Singh Saini, Kurukshetra MP. Undoubtedly Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi have performed and campaigned in Haryana but they could not perform on the expectations which led to loss in major share in votes. All the candidates of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) have lost their deposit in the seats. The candidates were once the main opposition party.

Straight sweep in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh and a major holding in Gujarat helped BJP from being breached. The possibility of Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar using their leverage by supporting Congress (the opposition) is going to be the main worry for BJP.
The change in the number of votes in Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Rajasthan and Haryana marks the return of the politics, making it a great landslide for BJP. Delhi, MP, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand made a great comeback for BJP. Major seat loss from Ayodhya is being the great concern from the netizens. They mentioned how the people have ‘back-stabbed’ BJP after the successful construction of Ram Mandir.
