Mihir Shah, the son of Rajesh Shah (leader of Shiv Sena, belonging of CM Eknath Shinde) is accused in a BMW hit and run case in Worli, Mumbai. Mihir was been absconding for three days now. He has now been arrested in Shahpur, Maharashtra.
About the incident-
Mihir Shah is accused for killing a woman with the BMW car in Mumbai. The lady who was killed is reported as Kaveri Nakhwa. Kaveri was riding with Pradeep (her husband) on the Annie Besant Road at 5:30 am when suddenly a BMW car (driven by Mihir Shah) hit their two-wheeler. Pradeep reported that Kaveri was dragged for about 100 meters by the BMW which lead to major injuries to her. She was admitted to the hospital for her injuries but she lost her life at the hospital only. Pradeep also got some minor injuries which got treated and he got discharged from the hospital.
Accused-
After the incident, Mihir Shah has been running away from the cases and police. Police have registered a case against his father, Rajesh Shah and their driver, Rajendra Singh as they helped him to run away. During the incident, Mihir Shah was with their family driver Rajendra Singh in the BMW. Investigations reported that Mihir Shah was driving the car and not their driver Rajendra Singh. Police are yet to confirm about the influence they both were under. They have intended a medical test and collected their blood samples as well.

It is found that Mihir was in a pub in Juhu with his three friends for a party. They have also been arrested as they were present with him. Police has inspected that Mihir Shah has not studied more than 10th standard and was drinking while driving. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra has been very serious about this case due to the rise in number of hit and run cases lately. He said “whether rich, poor, influential, minister or anyone will have immunity as long as I am here as the Chief Minister. There is no tolerance of injustice with me.”
