Bringing It Home after 13 Years India wins T20 ICC World Cup 2024

Tears had been really hard to control for the whole India and the team fans. India defeated South Africa with 87 runs and entitled the ICC T20 World Cup trophy for the second time.

After match Interview:

“It is really hard to say but this has been really happy. I remembered 2007, I remembered 2013. I was lost during the game. Also, I didn’t sleep well last night due to the desperation. India’s Scores:

India made a total of 176 runs in 20 overs. Virat Kohli saved it up for the last game. Although he did not perform well for the whole season, he got trolled on the internet. Hardik Pandya took 3 most important wickets, followed by Jasprit Bumrah who stood up every time whenever the team was in need and took 2 wickets. Arshdeep and Axar took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.

Virat’s retirement?

With the win, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from T20 International format. He said this was the best time to announce it. Even if they had won or lost, he would have not changed his decision. He even mentioned about how happy he is feeling by getting the trophy as his farewell gift.

Netizens went crazy with the win, and of course, why not? Here are some of the statements: “19 November was the worst for every Indian. But now their happiness feels like everything. Their win feels personal”. “Although everyone is really happy with the fact that India won the title, Virat’s retirement news just broke my heart.
