The cases of discrimination against Hindus have not stopped in Bangladesh now even during Durga Puja. Hindus are facing many problems. About 35 untoward incidents have come to light during Durga Puja celebrations here. 17 people have been arrested in these cases and about a dozen cases have been registered.  Fundamentalists have called for an Islamic revolution from the Durga Puja pavilion.

Earlier, a gold crown gifted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stolen from a temple in Bangladesh. The crown of Maa Kali was stolen during Durga Puja celebrations from Jeshoreshwari Temple in Satikhira, Bangladesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted this crown to the temple during his visit to Bangladesh in March 2021. India has expressed concern over this theft.

Earlier on Thursday, half a dozen people sang a song calling for Islamic revolution on the stage of the Durga Puja pavilion at the Jatra Mohan Sen Hall in Chittagong. About 250 km south-east of Dhaka, sparking widespread outrage.
