The 17th season of IPL i.e. Indian Premier League is going to start on 22 March. Will be played in The first match, Chennai. IPL 2024 will start with the Chepauk Stadium match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The schedule of this season was released on 22 February, however, due to the Lok Sabha elections, only 17 days’ schedule has been revealed. 21 matches will be played in the first 17 days of the tournament.
Punjab Kings on Delhi Capitals will take on March 23 in Mohali. According to the format, 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five each 14 matches in the group stage Each team will play. Each team will play the other four teams in its group twice at home and the rival team’s ground.

They will face four teams in the second group once each while the remaining two teams will face each other twice. The entire IPL was played only once in South Africa in 2009. 2014 due to general elections, it was held in the home country and UAE. But despite the elections in 2019, the tournament was held in India only.
