In today’s time, when people are celebrating festivals with love, joy, and respect, there are some sects of people in our society who use inappropriate ways on social media to go viral and gain social media views and followers. Similarly, on social media three reels of a trio of youngsters went viral while making reels in Delhi Metro during Holi celebrations.
Delhi Metro Viral Reels Youngsters Case
During this festival Holi, which is also known as the festival of joy, and celebration, some people by doing inappropriate things on social media ruin the celebration by posting reels where they do inappropriate things to gain some lime night on social media and news.
During the Holi celebration, a trio of three youngsters (girls) who were trying to gain some followers, got into a bigger problem of legal action after some of their videos taken on the road and inside the Delhi Metro came to the notice of the higher authorities. Now the youngsters are facing heavy fines amounting to Rs.33,000 and Rs.80,500. Earlier this week during the Holi Festival, the youngsters named Preeti, Vineeta, and Piyush got a massive outrage for their Holi reels.
In one of their videos, Preeti and Vineeta are seat on the scooter with Piyush. Those two girls sit opposite each other and play with the Holi colors (Gulal) while Piyush is driving the scooter. They are making their reel on the song named Ang Laga De from the film Goliyon ki Raas Leela- Ram Leela which was playing in the background.
Another video of Preeti and Piyush went viral on social media where Preeti was doing stunts on a running scooter. When Piyush was driving the scooter, Preeti suddenly fell from the scooter after losing her balance. The third video of Preeti and Vineeta became very popular when they were applying colors to each other while sitting on the floor of the Delhi Metro.

Legal Actions by DMRC and Traffic Police
After their videos went viral, people posted their videos on Twitter X to other social media platforms and urged the traffic police and DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation), to take strict and legal action against the individuals. While the first two videos include the clear-cut violations of not one but multiple road safety rules including traffic rules, the third video of Preeti and Vineeta is the act of violation of the ‘no photography or videography’ rule inside the Delhi Metro property or premises.
In recent years, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has posted some posts asking people not to film social media content inside the Delhi Metro without any prior permission. The purpose behind DRMC posts is to spread awareness regarding not shooting and making any film for social media platforms in the Delhi Metro premises.
Taking the social media posts under their observation, The Noida Police has filed an FIR against Preeti, Vineeta, and Piyush. On their scooter videos, the Noida Police has filed a fine of Rs.33,000. While the owner of the scooter Vineeta, got an additional penalty of Rs.80,500.
Preeti is basically from Uttarakhand and she is living in Delhi. On the other hand, Vineeta lives in Noida and Piyush also lives in Delhi. The three of them collaborate to make Instagram reels. Preeti is trying to make her career as a social media influencer and on the other hand Vineeta and Piyush assist themselves by juggling short gigs.
Youngsters Interview on National Television
In a conversation with one of the news channels named “Aaj Tak”, they claimed that they are not in a financial state to pay for the penalty which has been imposed by the Noida Police. They also added that their intention was not to spread ‘obscenity’ or ‘vulgarity’ in society
“We were only creating videos for social media, there’s nothing wrong with that. I want to say sorry to everyone because I can’t manage to pay such a large amount by myself. Where will I find that much money?” Vineeta requested Aaj Tak in Hindi, “Please help me a little, at least reduce my fine, as I didn’t mean to hurt anyone.” According to Vineeta, she claimed that the police had warned her of a potential jail term if she didn’t pay the fine.
