DRDO Helping soldiers in Leh Ladakh: DRDO is developing numerous new technologies with the help of solar energy in Leh. With the help of all these technologies, the problems of the locals of Leh and the army dogfaces there are getting reduced.

It’s extremely cold there and the army dogfaces have to face a lot of difficulties indeed for getting drinking water. In such a situation, the DRDO lab is engaged in working on the problems the army dogfaces. In Leh, where on one side not indeed a single blade of lawn is visible during layoffs, the DRDO lab is furnishing fresh fruits and vegetables to its army dogfaces.

A small, but unique laboratory of DRDO is working to ameliorate the lives of the Indian Armed Forces and the original population of Ladakh. - DRDO’s lab is helping to set up 13 GW solar power shops in Ladakh at an estimated total cost of Rs 20,773.70 crore.
- The Defense Lab has assured that Ladakhi and Indian dogfaces get fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Defence Institute of High Altitude Research( DIHAR) at Leh was established in 1962 to ensure the nutritive security of the fortified forces stationed in the’ L’ sector. Since its commencement, the institute has been making R&D grounded benefactions to make Ladakh nicely green and tone-sufficient with respect to fresh food products. Hence, over time the institute has been working towards enhancing the food, health, and energy security of the dogfaces stationed in the strategic Ladakh region.
