The latest Hurun Rich List of India has 334 new billionaires which is an approximately of 6 times more than the first India Rich List 13 years ago. The Forbes Real-time billionaire list shows 200 Indians on its list.
Shah Rukh Khan:
There are many news faces that can be seen on the list. The biggest one is actor Shah Rukh Khan. He made a spark with his debut on the list with a worth of Rs 7300 crores which is nearly 1 billion. The big surprise is not seeing Shah Rukh Khan on the list. The biggest surprise is that he is on the list not because of all the hit movies on the cinema but because of playing on the right wicket. Yes, the value of his cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has skyrocketed. No doubt his super-hit movies like Pathaan have done well in the cinemas but his journey with the ball and bat has done better.
Zepto:
Other new star which can be seen on the Hurun Rich List is Zepto. Zepto was founded in 2021, April. Both the founders have donated their time and life into the project. Zepto includes itself in India’s fastest grocery delivering company. Zepto offers over 7000 options for delivery including vegetables, fruits and other necessities like coffee, milk, gadgets and makeup also. The Co-founder of Zepto, Kaivalaya Vohra is on the Hurun Rich List and becomes the youngest person to be on the list. With a worth of Rs 3600 crores which is nearly $433 million. His partner, Aadit Palicha is also on the list with a worth of Rs 4300 crore but is not the youngest one to be on the Rich List.
Who tops the Hurun Rich List?
The battle for topping the Hurun Rich List continues and is heating up again. The latest Hurun Rich List for India shows Gautam Adani on the 1st spot. Knocking Mukesh Ambani to the 2nd position. Followed by Shiv Nadar, Cyrus S Poonawalla and Dilip Shanghvi on the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions.

This report is said to be wrong by other two wealth experts, Forbes and Bloomberg. They claimed that Ambani is still richer than Adani by at least $11 billion. Forbes and Bloomberg are strictly against the reports by Hurun Rich List. They page Ambani as the top position holder. The Hurun Rich List claims that the Adani Group is now at a colossal worth of $130 billion. Whereas, Ambani is following behind with a worth of $122 billion. Hurun reckons that Adani regained almost 95% of his wealth which he lost due to the Hindenburg Document in January 2023.
Meanwhile, Gautam Adani’s elder brother, Vinod Adani is positioned 78th globally with a worth of $25 billion of his own.
