India-France Rafale Deal for Navy Rafale Marine Jet Signing

The India-France Rafale deal is a mega deal in the defence sector. India will acquire twenty-six Rafale Marine fighter aircraft from France.

The significant India-France Rafale deal was important. It was authorised by the CCS. The cost of this India-France Rafale deal is high, roughly Rs 63,000 crore. The agreement concerned twenty-two single-seat and twin-seat trainers joined with advanced weapon simulators. This agreement concerned crew training and five-year performance-based logistics support. The shipment will be confirmed within 37 to 65 months.

The India-France Rafale deal is expected to be signed in the upcoming weeks. This mega deal is very important to India as a threat comes from China and Pakistan. India has a good relationship with France, and India imports defence equipment from France.

Dassault Aviation, a private French aviation business, has been producing Rafale maritime fighter aircraft. To fight the adversary, these cutting-edge Rafale aircraft would be stationed aboard aircraft carriers called INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya. MiG-29-K fighter aircraft are deployed on INS Vikrant and INS Vikramadiya. The Navy will replace old MiG-29K aircraft with Rafale-M aircraft. 

India as a nation wanted the India-France Rafale deal of Rafale fighter aircraft for the navy at the same base price, which was kept while purchasing thirty-six Rafale aircraft for the India Air Force in the year 2016. When the Prime Minister of India visited France in the year 2023, the India-France mega deal came to light. After that, India’s Ministry of Defence issued a letter of request. This letter of request was accepted by France in the year 2023. India had already purchased 36 Rafale fighter jets from France for the India Air Force in the year 2016. This India-France Rafale deal is worth Rs fifty thousand crores, which makes the India Air Force strong.     

India, which is purchasing Rafale M fighters for the Indian Navy, will be designed according to the marine requirements. Rafale fighter jets are capable of carrying high-tech missiles such as Meteor, Exocet, and SCALP, which makes their navy strong for combating the enemy.
