“Indian pilots’ association criticizes Air India crash report for prematurely placing blame

The organisation at the offices objected to keeping the office holders out of the inquiry and demanded a thorough inquiry before “blame acceptance”. Ephapeepee said in a statement, “fault acceptance before an inquiry based on record, records and figures is premature and irresponible. Such activities undermine the efficiency of highly trained leadership members and cause  unnecessary hardship to their families and colleagues. The note comes a few days after a report by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) revealed that both the fuel control switches of Landan-bound flight AI171, which had encountered an accident in Ahmedabad, had come to a halt just seconds after being filled.

The report also mentions two objects in the cupboard, Summit observation and a conversation that took place inside Klaiv Kundar. One object asked, “why did you cut off” and the other reply, “I did not do that. The ivestigation report had given rise to speculations about what could be the reason behind the accident. In the statement of the Ephesian, various explanations of the investigation were also questioned and it was alleged that the report selectively used voice recordings of the accused to indicate “ falsity of records”. The statement said, “the report released lacks comprehensive figures and it apears that some voice recording of complaints have been used selectively to indicate some lape in testing and to raise questions about the professional capability and integrity of the flight operators. These data are neither objective nor complete,” and people have been urged not to trust any concluions based on the initial findings.

The inestigation report focused on the operation of the fuel control switch, after which India’s civil aviation regulator also ordered an investigation into the locking mechanism of the switches in Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft. Earlier India said its engineers had completed the inspection and found “no problem” in the fuel switch. On June 12, Ahmedabad-Land and India’s plane crashed just a few seconds after taking off from Hawaii, killing 260 people, including 241 passengers. The preliminary investigation report by EEEE will be released after a month on 12th july.
