In the latest NEET 2024 Examination Results, 67 students scored 720/720 and secured All India Rank 1 (AIR1). This result has been really controversial among the teachers and the students as it has happened for the first time ever.
Majorly 2 or 3 students from the examination get AIR1. The toppers from this year’s examination are found to be from the same center. Few of the students are given Grace Markings of 80+ marks which is shocking to see. In the latest statement of NTA, they made an announcement about recommending NCERT books and Grace Marking system for students who have scored less marks.
Another controversial thing that happened is that the marks of the results keep on changing. Many students mentioned this problem about how they refreshed their result after some time and the marks got changed. Also, students’ OMR sheets show less marks but are given more marks in their NTA results.

NTA has denied the allegations on the results. NTA denied the fact that 8 toppers were from the same center in Haryana. The day after the results were declared, many suicide cases by the students who didn’t score well were reported.
Students Reaction:
A post on X by an aspirant said “67 students scored 720/720 are a little suspicious. 8 students scoring AIR1 rank from the same canter is also suspicious. NTA is playing with the emotions of the students due to which anger issues have arisen in the students. Many students have even tried to end their life after the results have been declared. The government along-with all the teachers that are against this case should take an action regarding the results.”
Scorecards of students having 718 and 719 marks are going viral on the internet. This has never happened ever in the history of NEET examinations. NEET examinations carry four marks each where one mark is given for negative marking. So practically students’ scoring 718 and 719 is impossible.
In a few cases students have even got 1.78 as a rank. Aspirants are worried about getting their seats in their dream college as AIIMS, Delhi has only 50 students and students having AIR1 rank are 67+.
