Survivors of the Jammu and Kashmir terrorist attack have shared the accounts of the ordeal with unleashing gunfire on the bus which was carrying pilgrims.
About the incident:
The bus fell in the ditch, which saved lives. The bus got stuck between the tress and a big rock. It prevented it from falling further and served as a twist of fate in saving lives. Pradeep Kumar, a survivor, who works at a private telecom company, described his experience as “thank God that the bus fell into the trees and rocks. Otherwise the attackers would have made everyone dead.”
He added “whilst the attack of the terrorist, the driver lost the control of the bus and it fell into a rock. When the bus fell, more attackers came and started firing indiscriminately. Due to the effect of the falling of bus, the people started screaming. Attackers believed that everyone is dead and hence they left us.”
The attack happened after 6pm when the bus left the Shivkhori temple. The passengers were trekking the whole day in Vaishno Devi and hence were tired. They all were asleep in the bus when the incident happened.

A few pilgrims who were awake and sitting in the front saw the attackers approaching the bus. As they came more towards the bus, they started screaming. With this, everyone got awake. Few passengers had a severe injury in their legs and some other minor injuries. A rescue operation was started with army joining later. Everyone was admitted into 3 hospitals.
Deepak Meena, Meerut district magistrate mentioned “we are in touch with all the injured passengers. A team was sent to bring them back safely. We are hoping to extend all the possible services and help that we can do to the affected passengers.”

The people on the internet are trolling the celebrities about not posting anything about the Reasi incident. This has led to a major controversy.
