On Thursday, Kangana Ranaut experienced an unfortunate incident at Chandigarh airport. The actor-turned-politician was reportedly slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. Kangana took to social media to assure her fans and the public that she was safe.
Kangana Describes the Incident
In a video statement on her Instagram stories, Kangana Ranaut detailed the incident. She explained, “Namaste doston (friends). I’ve been getting many calls from the media and my well-wishers. First of all, I am safe. I am perfectly fine.” She continued, “Today at Chandigarh airport, after completing my security check, a CISF personnel hit me on my face and cussed at me. When I asked why she did this, she said she supports the farmers’ protest.”
Kangana Ranaut also expressed her concerns about Punjab, saying, “I am safe, but my worry is how will you handle the growing terrorism and extremism in Punjab? Thank you.”

CISF personnel slaps Kangana
Hindustan Times reported that the MP-elect from Mandi was slapped during a security check after she allegedly pushed a CISF personnel and refused to place her phone in the tray. Kangana Ranaut left Mandi for Delhi at 3 PM on a Vistara flight. A video of her at the airport after the incident circulated on social media.
This incident occurred just days after Kangana won the Lok Sabha elections for Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, defeating Congress rival Vikramaditya Singh.
