Northern Light

The Northern Light is a phenomenon from a magical world of its own. If it’s in your stories that surround these dancing lights or the science that looks at stunning phenomena on this earth, it’s a lifetime experience. Where do I begin? The experience in itself felt so dreamy that it left me wanting to see more of these stunning lights. Honestly, I can express it in words: I saw more than light. We witnessed the Northern Lights for the first time in our lives at Kvalya, an island in Tromsø, Norway.

When you plan for northern light chasing, chances are you will be spending most nights outside and gazing at the sky in this cold winter for hours for the northern light. Make sure that you carry enough clothes and warmers to protect you from freezing cold temperatures. The best way is to book your tour in advance, and you might save a lot and experience more. Your body might take some time to get used to the cold if it’s your first time in the arctic. You’ll have to factor that in as well when you plan your travel. Carry some warming snacks with you and avoid removing your gloves. Northern light is absolutely dependent on luck, and many times people wait for hours to have a look at Northern light.

And this year it is coming after 25 years and will last for more months in the northern part of the world.
