Operation Sindoor: India Strikes 9 Terror Targets in Pakistan

On Wednesday, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ and targeted nine infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack. The operation sindoor comes days after the deadly terror attack on civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 innocent civilians were killed. India avenged the sindoor after 15 days of the Pahalgam attack, where terrorists had shed blood on 22 April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched ‘Operation Sindoor’ throughout the night.

The Indian Army said that the strike left more than sixty terrorists injured across the nine target locations — Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bahawalpur, Rawalakot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, and Chakwal.  The most special thing about the operation sindoor is that it was a joint operation of the three armies. The army earmark terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, from where terrorist attacks against India. These were known as the hub location of terrorist activity.

The Indian Army missiles targeted camps affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad. According to sources, the Indian intelligence agency RAW had identified all the hideouts, after which Lashkar and Jaish hideouts were attacked in a planned manner. Army aircraft are continuously patrolling the entire Kashmir, including Srinagar, to deal with any counterattack. Sourced said that there is heavy firing on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has violated the ceasefire and fired shells in Poonch and Nowshera.

Indian officials have shown their regret for the civilian casualties, but they said that all sites were linked directly to terrorist activity. They also said that these sites were targeted very carefully. They report, Terrorist groups, the sources said, often embed their facilities in densely populated civilian areas, complicating any effort to avoid non-combatant casualties completely. The sources said that while India exercised restraint, Pakistan’s narrative was aimed at inflating the civilian impact to gain international sympathy.
