RCB Defeated CSK

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru by a total of 27 runs. They managed to make their place at the 4th and the last spot in the Tata IPL Playoffs.

This win made them have a good net run-rate over other teams with 14 points in the points-table. It was their 6th continuous win after losing 7 of their matches out of 8 in the start. This win gave a great comeback to the team.

After the match, Chris Gayle, the ‘Universe Boss’ and the former west indies opener came in the RCBs dressing room. For congratulating his long best friend Virat Kohli for winning their spot in the Playoffs. Gayle is known for hitting the most monstrous sixes during his playing days in RCB from 2011 to 2017. Kohli told Gayle about how he has the ‘most sixes in the IPL 2024’ season, to which Gayle questioned “how much?”. “37”, replied Kohli. Kohli even teased Gayle, telling him to come back in the team next year and play as an ‘impact player’.

He even mentioned about how there was less than 1% chance for RCB to qualify but they believed in that 1% chance and never lost hope. And here they are, qualified in the Playoffs for Tata IPL 2024 after winning 6 continuous matches and making the greatest comeback in the history of IPL.

Virat Kohli has been with the RCB franchise from 17 years but they are yet to win a title in the IPL. They hope that this contagious comeback can end their wait. In one of a viral interview with Kohli, he mentioned that “it has been my dream to know how it feels to lift the IPL trophy once”.

No doubt, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has the most loyal fan base. Which has always been appreciated by the other teams. Fans are also waiting to see RCB win their first IPL title.
