Somnath Temple which is located in Veraval, Gujarat, India. There is no proof but some say that the temple was constructed by Chandra Dev. Proof of this Temple is also mentioned in the Holy books of Hindu Shrimad Bhagwat Skand Puran, Shiv Puran, and Rigveda. Historically says this temple was always a Holy Pilgrimage (Teerth Sthal) because of the Kapila, Hiran, and Saraswati meeting place known as Triveni Ghat.

Agra Fort’s Main entrance gate is also of Somnath Temple, according to the rock inscription King “KumarPal” constructed this Temple in 1169 years after some more destroyers came here to destruction in 1299, it was destroyed a total of 17 times by attackers since first construction.

The temple is constructed in the Solanki style. First is the sabha mandap (the assembly hall), second is the sanctum sanctorum (the innermost shrine) (garbh grah) and the Shikhar which is (top) was built in the first phase which is followed by the nritya mandap (the dancing hall). The tip of the temple reaches a total height of 155 ft and the kalash (urn) on top weighs a total weight of 10 tons.
