SpaceX’s Dragon capsule Landed on Earth | Sunita Williams Returned

SpaceX’s Dragon capsule landed on Earth after being stranded in space for nine months, Sunita Williams returned safely with 3 astronauts. The return took place at 3:27 am Indian time. This is a historic moment that reflects the hard work and dedication of the NASA and SpaceX team. SpaceX’s Dragon capsule landed in the sea of Florida. When Sunita came out of the capsule, there was happiness and satisfaction on her face for returning home. Before splashdown in the sea, other NASA employees came to pick up the astronauts in the sea by boat. SpaceX’s Dragon capsule landed with the help of a parachute.

SpaceX’s Dragon capsule landed on the coast of Florida at 3.27 am today. After this, the security team that was already present took out the four astronauts one by one from the spacecraft and carried them through the recovery ship. During this, first Crew-9 mission captain Nick Hague, Russian astronaut Alexander Gorbunov, Sunita Williams, and finally Butch Wilmer came out. As soon as she came out, Sunita Williams said hi to everyone.

To board SpaceX’s Dragon capsule spacecraft, the astronauts first wore pressure suits. The hatch was closed and then all kinds of leakages were checked. After this, the undocking process began and then the deorbit burn began in the spacecraft. This burn took place at around 2.41 am on Wednesday. Under this, a rocket was fired. This brought the spacecraft closer to Earth.

Before undocking, the functioning of the life support system, communication, and thruster system inside SpaceX’s Dragon Capsules spacecraft was checked. In the second stage, the lock of SpaceX’s Dragon capsule spacecraft was opened. In this, the joints connecting SpaceX’s Dragon Capsules spacecraft to the International Space Station are opened. In the third stage, after the undocking system opened, the thruster separated SpaceX’s Dragon Capsules spacecraft from the ISS.  Thrusters control the speed and direction of the spacecraft. In the fourth stage, SpaceX’s Dragon Capsules spacecraft was monitored after undocking. In the final stage, the spacecraft completely separated from the ISS and set out on its journey to Earth.

After this, the first two SpaceX’s Dragon capsule parachutes opened at a height of 18 thousand feet from the ground and then the main parachute opened at a height of 6000 feet, due to which the SpaceX’s Dragon capsule landed at a low speed. SpaceX’s Dragon capsule was first lowered into the sea using a splashdown parachute and then waited for 10 minutes. The SpaceX’s Dragon capsule is opened only after the security check. If it is opened immediately, there may be problems due to the difference in temperature inside and outside. Therefore, all the passengers remained inside until the temperature became normal.

After this, they were taken out of the Crew SpaceX’s Dragon capsule and carried on a stretcher, this is part of their initial medical examination. Staying in space for a long time affects the body of astronauts. It is a protocol to carry astronauts on a stretcher because they are unable to walk due to weak muscles. This was the first moment when Sunita Williams and her colleagues felt gravity after 9 months.

When this SpaceX Dragon capsule landed in the sea, that scene was also worth seeing. As soon as SpaceX’s Dragon capsule landed in the middle of the sea, the NASA team reached the capsule with the help of a speed boat. When the NASA team reached SpaceX’s Dragon capsule, a group of dolphins was also present in the sea to welcome Sunita Williams. The special thing was that the group of dolphins kept moving around SpaceX’s Dragon capsule for a long time, it seemed as if these dolphins were also coming out of the sea again and again to welcome all the members of Crew-9.

Sunita and Butch have been taken to Johnson Space Center in Houston. Both astronauts will stay at the center for a few days for health checkups. NASA doctors will monitor everyone’s health before going home. Both may be allowed to go home in the next few days. Astronauts aboard the ISS float in microgravity, which puts a lot of stress on their bodies. On Earth, our bodies are always working against gravity, giving our muscles and bones a constant workout. But without this resistance in space, muscle strength and bone density begin to decline, since the body doesn’t have to support its own weight.

After completing the medical examination process, both astronauts will talk about their experiences, challenges, and achievements during the mission. After this, they will get a chance to spend time with their family and friends.

According to NASA, Sunita Williams and her team completed 900 hours of research, conducted more than 150 experiments, and set a new record – the record for the longest time spent by a woman in space. she outside the space station spent 62 hours and 9 minutes. This means she did a spacewalk 9 times.

Let us tell you that Sunita Williams and her companions reached the International Space Station via the Starliner spacecraft in June 2024. This series of malfunctions in the Starliner continued and now after 9 months, the return of the scientist has been successful. Along with this, the helium of this spacecraft also got exhausted. Due to this, the plan to return both astronauts was stuck. This series of malfunctions in the spacecraft continued and now after 9 months, the return of the scientist has been successful.
