Strong Earthquake in Delhi-NCR, Epicenter in Haryana Jhajjar
People who live in Noida, Delhi-NCR, and Gurgaon were seen in a rush out of their homes and buildings; however, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported.
Strong tremors felt across the Delhi-NCR region on Thursday morning after a magnitude 4.4 earthquake in Delhi-NCR struck near Jhajjar in Haryana at 9.04 am. Those people who live in near the disaster areas, such as Noida, Delhi-NCR, and Gurgaon, were seen rushing out of their homes and buildings.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake in Delhi-NCR had a depth of 10km and was recorded at 9.04 am.
From the National capital, the tremors were also felt in Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad. Those People who use social media said the intensity tremors scared them.
The earthquake in Delhi-NCR, said the someone was shaking a whole shop he was sitting in, and the tremors felt quite strong.
The earthquake in Delhi-NCR on February 17th measured in the south region with the 4.0 magnitude. Data from (NCS), the National Center for Seismology, showed a region has experienced another 446 earthquakes between 1993 to 2025 with a radius of 50sq km, ranging from 1.1 to 4.6 magnitude, and highlights the seismic activity.

The (BIS) Bureau of Indian Standards classifies the entire country into four seismic groups they ranging from zone second (low intensity) to zone fifth (very severe).
