Introduction to New Tata Altroz Racer
Tata Motors has introduced the new Altroz Racer in India, with prices starting at ₹9.49 lakh and going up to ₹10.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). This new version of the Altroz turbo petrol is designed for better performance and comes with sporty visual enhancements to increase its appeal.
Interested buyers can book the Altroz Racer for a token amount of ₹21,000. Additionally, Tata has upgraded some variants of the standard Altroz with new features.
Altroz Racer Key Features
The key highlight of the Tata Altroz Racer is its 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, borrowed from the Tata Nexon. This engine delivers 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque and is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. There is no automatic transmission option. Tata also mentions that the Racer model has a sportier exhaust sound compared to the standard variants.
The Tata Altroz Racer features several visual upgrades, including a blacked-out bonnet and roof, creating a dual-tone paint scheme. The car has twin white stripes running across the bonnet, roof, and boot, along with a ‘Racer’ badge on the fender and new alloy wheels to enhance its sporty look.
The Altroz Racer is available in three dual-tone colors: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey.
Inside, the cabin has a blacked-out theme with orange accents, black leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching, and twin stripes. While the dashboard remains the same, the model includes features like an electric sunroof, a digital instrument console, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera.
