The Finance Ministry banned ChatGPT Deep Seek in Delhi

The finance ministry has directed its officers not to download or use AI tools and apps such as ChatGPT and Deep Seek in-office computers and devices by saying that they pose a confidentiality risk to data and documents. These AI-powered tools lie in the known ability to generate human-like text and conduct advanced searches, which have raised concerns to relate data privacy, potential misuse, and security risks.

Its emerging technologies may pose risks to sensitive financial data and how they could be exploited in ways that could compromise national security and the integrity of financial systems. These tools are used to machine learn the algorithms and vast amounts of data to generate a text and answer the questions to carry out sophisticated tasks.

The decision of the finance ministry comes after the careful evaluation of potential risks that the AI tools like ChatGPT and Deep Seek can pose in highly sensitive in operations. In a communication last month to all IT departments, the ministry said that AI tools/AI apps in office devices may be strictly avoided. It has been determined in the office, computers, and devices that poses risks for the confidentiality of Government data and documents.

Department move comes at a time when countries like Australia and Italy have shielded their facial systems from Chinese Deep Seek out privacy and data safety concerns. In a current scenario ,Sam Altman, CEO of the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, is on a whirlwind tour in India. The meeting of government officials and industry captains participated in a fireside chat on Wednesday morning.
