Underground Metro for Public in Mumbai

The first underground metro for public in Mumbai on Monday from Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey has become functional.

Prime minister Narendra Modi flagged off the underground metro for public in Mumbai on this Saturday between BKC to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai metro. He interacted to various travelers, women, men and even school children while he travelled on the metro train from BKC to Santacruz station.

In one of the clip that was shared on Sunday of Prime Minister showed that Prime Minister interacted with travelers, youth, and workers during his journey and he was also seen enjoying the music sung by a girl sitting next to him while playing a guitar. Prime Minister congratulated the people of Mumbai city on the inauguration of underground metro for public in Mumbai.

Many number of people experienced this ride on the first day and one of the traveler- Sai Kumar shared his words that “The metro is time saving and easily affordable, comfortable as well as cost effective. Earlier it used to take 1 hour to travel now it is possible in just 20 minutes. Earlier I used to spend huge amount Rs.250 on cab and 150 on auto for one side, now it is possible in just Rs.80.”

Another traveler- Gulnaaz Sheikh expressed her words with the services of underground metro for public in Mumbai that “It is time saving and very comfortable. We can easily cover long distance in this hot and humid weather as the underground metro for public in Mumbai are cool in short span of time. By metro, hardly takes me 20-25 minutes to reach to the destination that earlier it use take me 45-50 minutes to reach to the destination.”

A cost of Rs.14, 120 crore is spent on this project of underground metro for public in Mumbai and is a great moment for the Mumbai metro services for ‘Easing the Living’ of people.
