12 bridges collapsed in Bihar over 14 days. The Bihar government suspended 15 Water Resources and Rural Development department engineers. The CM of Bihar, Nitesh Kumar, decided to construct a new bridge in Bihar. The government issued a letter against the company which constructed these bridges, and it also investigated this matter in depth, asking why these companies were not under the blacklist. Some opposition leaders are asking these questions about why the bridge collapsed. If we are talking about old bridges in Bihar which was very strong, we don’t know who made them when they were constructed. The current government is taking charges from the opposition.
Minister’s Reaction to Bridges Collapsed
The minister of construction, Ashok, blamed Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav for not putting his effort into making the bridge at that time and for not checking the material that private companies used. The bridge over the Gadadaki River connected multiple villages in the Siwan District. The local public reached where the bridge had collapsed, making it real and pointing it out to the current government. The video went viral on social media. The district magistrate of Siwan said we are thankful that there has been no causality found yet, the bridge was built by the local authority 15 years ago. One of the bridges that was under construction collapsed due to heavy rain in Bihar; nine people got injured, and one died. In the Saran District, two bridges collapsed, one in Janta Bazar and the other in Lahladpur.

All the DMs of Bihar must find the reason for the bridge collapse in their area and report to the CM of Bihar. The secretary of the development department of Bihar, Chaitanya Prasad, said to the media on Friday that we suspended some engineers from the construction department.
