Indian-American Special Forces:
The Indian Army’s Para Commandos, who came into the limelight after carrying out surgical strikes on terrorists in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), are currently in the US. India’s Para Commandos are participating in the war exercise being held in the US along with America’s elite force Green Berets. Green Berets are American Special Forces just like Indian Para Commandos. They were the first American soldiers to be deployed in Afghanistan after the US attack.
The Special Forces of both countries India and America are part of the “Thunderbolt Attack” or “Vajra Prahar” the annual war exercise. In which 45 Special Forces Commandos of India are participating.
India’s Parachute Regiment Special Military Force
The Indian Army’s Parachute Regiment has a total of 14 battalions. In which 9 Special Forces (SF) and Para Airborne Units are included. The commandos deployed in every unit of the Special Forces have their own special role. They are given rigorous training to work in adverse conditions during war. Let us tell you that there is no separate recruitment for the Para Regiment of India. They are selected from the Indian Army and various paramilitary forces and after rigorous training, only a few become Para Commandos.

Carried out operations in many wars:
The soldiers of the Indian Para Regiment have carried out many operations in other countries outside India. Para Commandos carried out many operations in the wars with Pakistan in 1965 and 1971. At the same time, in 1987, this unit was deployed in Sri Lanka as part of the Indian Peace Keeping Force. Apart from this, Operation Cactus was also carried out in 1988 to save the Prime Minister of Maldives from a coup.
Surgical strike on terrorists in Pok:
In 2016, 19 Indian soldiers were martyred in the terrorist attack on the army camp in Uri. This unit of the Parachute Regiment was given the responsibility to take revenge for this. After this, the unit of Para Commandos entered Pok and carried out a surgical strike on the terrorists. Which is discussed all over the world.
American Green Berets also carried out a major operation:
Like India’s Parachute Regiment, America’s Green Berets have also carried out many major military operations. After the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, America deployed Green Berets against the Taliban in Afghanistan. Its first unit carried out a military operation in the mountainous region on horseback and uprooted the Taliban in collaboration with the Northern Alliance.
