The two big army defense leaders engaged in the conversation and discussed about range of bilateral, issues ongoing with cooperation and regional security. Defense chief Minister Rajnath Singh was in Ranchi, Bihar, and held a conversation on the telephone with the US Defense Chief Secretary (Lloyd Austin) on Monday 18 March 2024.

They got engaged in conversation and discussed the range of bilateral, issues ongoing with cooperation and regional security.
“They reviewed and discussed the current bilateral events which were going to be held in New Delhi in February 2024 which was the INDUS-X Summit and other bilateral tri-service exercise “Tiger Triumph” This event was also held in India on March 18 2024 by the Defense chief Ministry.

Indian Navy is conducting Anti-piracy operations this will be done in the Indian Ocean Region, Lloyd Austin will be appreciated and will an important role in this operation as they discussed. “The two Ministers discussed the ways and means to implement defense in the India-US Defense Chief Cooperation Roadmap, which was concluded in the last year. On the Other hand industrial cooperation issues such as repair of the US naval ships which were in Indian shipyards and also were briefly discussed,” according to the Ministry of Head Defense chief.
Lloyd Austin had last met in New Delhi with Rajnath Singh in November 2023 which was during the India-US Ministerial 2+2 Dialogue.
The United States and India is going to all set for ‘Tiger Triumph 2024’ as the bilateral, tri-service exercise that was between the two nations that commenced on Monday and is willing to take place before March 31.
“In the agreement with the established partnership between the US and India, a bilateral tri-service humanitarian assistance and (HADR) disaster relief exercise between both of the countries, the Eastern Seaboard from March 18-31 is scheduled on Tiger Triumph-24,” the Ministry of Defense chief said in an official press release.
Especially the exercise is aimed at developing interoperability for conducting HADR operations and clarifying (SOPs) Standard Operating Procedures to enable rapid and smooth coordination between the forces of both countries.
The US Navy ships would be representing the US with take-off troops of the US Army and Marine Corps.
March 18-25 is scheduled for harbour phase.
