Actor and singer, Diljit Dosanjh scripts history at his tour on Saturday, at the BC Place Stadium, Vancouver, Canada. Dosanjh regulated over 50,000 concert goers making it the ‘largest ever Punjabi show outside India’ in his Dil-Luminati tour. With popular hits such as GOAT, Lover, Ishq Mitaye, and popular tracks from his latest released film, Amar Singh Chamkila, the singer shared his gratitude by photos and videos from the show on his Instagram page. From one of the video, Dosanjh can be seen receiving a congratulating award for the largest ever Punjabi show outside India by the general manager of BC Place Stadium, Vancouver.
In over two decades, Dosanjh has glorified himself as a global star. Last year he was awarded with the tag of ‘first ever Indian Punjabi singer to perform at Coachella’. He even made his song collaborations with famous international stars like Sia, Camilo etc. Diljit mentioned “Punjabi aagye Coachella (Punjabis have made it till here). The next generation wouldn’t say that this never happened; now our kids and young talent can dream even bigger”.
During the concert, Diljit picked up a young 6-year-old fan ‘Aanakh Bhullar’ from the audience which was dressed in signature Diljit attire. He expressed his love by saying “Diljit is my idol. I love him; he’s the best singer out there”. It was Diljit’s hope for the next generation- a child here in front of over 50,000 audiences can now see himself performing on the stage in future. Diljit shared an emotional Instagram post saying “If it wasn’t His (god’s) wish, no one would have come to my show and I wouldn’t have gotten so successful and come here”.

Stars like Neha Dhupia reacted “It’s Diljit’s world and we are just living in it” where Rhea Kapoor reacted “Diljit is God’s child”. Fans compliment him as “god sent in human form”, “Punjab’s Michael Jackson”. He was crowned with “Main hoon Punjab” tag from his latest film, Amar Singh Chamkila. It was the very first time in history where a Punjabi music-star headlined in Vancouver, making billboards ‘SOLD OUT’. Continuing the performances, Dosanjh will now head up to Winnipeg, Calgary in Canada and Toronto in July.
