India defence export: Apart from BrahMos missiles, India is exporting Dornier-228 aircraft, bulletproof jackets, night vision equipment, artillery guns, radar, Akash missiles, Pinaka rockets, and armored vehicles.

India Defence Export: India is continuously moving towards demolishing all records in arms Export. India delivered the Brahmos Supersonic Cruise missile to the Philippines in April this year under a deal worth Rs 375 million. Armenia is at the top of India’s buyer list. According to the Report of Times of India, Armenia has placed a large order of a Pinaca multi-launch rocket system, A kash air defence system, and 155 mm artillery gun to India. Armenia, France, and America are also included in the top 3 list of India’s top weapon buyers.

India has an Arms order book of $2.6 billion:

India is the leader in exporting its weapons to America, France, and Armenia. According to the report, India has orders worth 2.6 billion dollars i.e. about 21 thousand crores for the export of military weapons. India’s government and private sector companies are exporting different types of weapons and equipment to about 100 countries.

Demand from India’s ‘Brahmastra’ to Armored Vehicles:

India’s Brahmastra is called a Brahmos supersonic cruise missile. Many countries including the Philippines are in queue to get this weapon. India is trying to get an increase in its exports in at least 10 countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, South Africa, and Egypt.

Apart from the Brahmos missile, India is exporting Dornier-228 aircraft, bulletproof jackets, night vission equipment, artillery guns, radars, Akash missiles, Pinaka rockets, and armored Vehicles to many Countries.similarly, India also exports helicopter and aircraft fans and other parts to America and on the other hand, India exports Software and Electronic components to France.

What is India’s goal in exporting arms?

The annual india defence export production has reached 1.2 lakh crore in 2023-24. The Modi government is trying to increase it to 3 lakh crore by 2028-29. India’s defense sector is growing stronger day by day. Along with government defense companies, private sector companies are growing rapidly in India. All these private sector companies have a 21% share in exports.
