Human Cell Atlas: Do you know that your body is made up of 37 crore cells? surprisingly, scientists are making a map of the body i.e. an atlas of each cell. But what will be the benefit of this hard work? In the future, with its help, any disease can be cured by the same cell that has been damaged in the disease.
Your and our body is made up of 36 to 37 lakh crore cells. Each cell has a different job, different behavior, and different properties. Cells keep dying and living and keep providing energy to our body. With age, they keep changing and giving new life. Now scientists are busy making a map of all these cells.
You can call it a map or an atlas but it will have details of every single cell and every information about it so that in future, problems and diseases related to different cells can be prevented. Things like growth and immunity can be improved. If scientists are successful in doing this, then in the future, man can be made immortal or he will remain safe from all kinds of diseases throughout his life. Scientists have so far recorded the accounts of 10 crore cells.

The details of all these cells have been taken from 10 thousand people from all over the world. All these people are from 100 different countries. This has been done so that the similarities and differences present in the bodies of people living in different countries can be identified. The function of each of their cells can be known based on their geographical location and genetic
The Atlas of the Whole Body Will Be Ready in Two Years:
Scientists say that we will have to wait for a year more and after that this map will be ready. They also said that they will complete the Human Cell Atlas in the year 2026. In which the location, identity, and everything of every cell will be known. That too at different stages of age so that scientists can also know how the cell works at what age. This map will be preliminary and research will be done on it so that it can give better and longer life to humans.
Human Atlas cell:
Scientists associated with HCA have prepared 40 more research papers so that the first copy of the atlas can be prepared. This report was published in the Nature Journal on 20 November 2024. In which many organs and their systems are depicted. Like lungs, brain, and skin. There is also a computational tool for all these so that data can be extracted.
Map of Human Body Like Google Map:
HCA’s founding co-chair Aviv Regev said that this will be a modern atlas different from the traditional map of the human body. You can understand it as if you have a 15th-century world map and you can walk as far as you want with its help, hence the need for an advanced Google map. Similarly, an advanced map is needed for the human body. He said that we will make the human body exactly like a Google map.
