Hyderabad: Police Arrest 2 ISI-linked Suspects Planning Terror Attack
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police arrested two ISI-linked suspected terrorists who were planning to execute a dummy blast in Hyderabad city. As per reports, these two men are identified as Siraj Ur Rehman (29) from Vizianagaram and Syed Sameer (28). Hyderabad police have also recovered explosives from their premises. These two men have also confirmed that they received their instructions from an ISIS module in Saudi Arabia.
In a joint operation by the counter-intelligence cell of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police, two suspected links with an ISIS module from Saudi Arabia were arrested on Sunday. They were planning a major terror dummy blast in different locations in Hyderabad. From their premises, the Hyderabad police found explosive materials, include ammonia, sulphur, and aluminium powder. Officials said that Siraj had acquired explosive materials in Vizianagaram as part of the plan.

The police will now produce both the accused in court. Officials said that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police first took Rehman into custody from Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram. After this, Rehman revealed the name of the second person, Syed Sameer. They also said that they received the instructions from Saudi Arabia. The administrations are in the process of identifying the transmission pathways to used by the accuused to maintain contact with their handler.
Recently, after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, India launched Operation Sindoor to target terror bases in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam attack. After this, the whole country is on high alert. The central government had warned the state that attempts could be made to activate sleeper cells, however, due to police assurances, a major incident has once again taken place.
