CBSE 10th and 12th Board Results Declared: Check Top Scorers
After a long wait, CBSE 10th and 12th board results were released on its official website. The overall pass percentage of class 10th in this year’s exam was 93.66 percent, while the overall pass percentage of class 12th was 88.67 percent.
A total of 2371000 students appeared in the 10th board exam, out of which about 2210636 students passed the exam means overall 4581636 students have appeared in the CBSE 10th and 12th board. In comparison, 0.06% more students have passed this year compared to last year. The overall pass percentage in class 12 has gone up to 88.39%, slightly higher than 87.98% in 2024. A total of 17,04,367 students were registered, out of which 16,92,794 appeared and 14,96,307 passed the exam.
Girls were on top in CBSE 10th and 12th Board Results 2025
Once again, girls topped in CBSE 10th and 12th board results as they outshone boys in exams of 2025. In class 12, 91.64% of girls passed as compared to 85.64% of boys, showing a difference of 6%, while in class 10, 95% of girls passed as compared to 92.63% of boys. Overall there was healthy competition between boys and girls in CBSE 10th and 12th board results 2025.

Southern region dominates top rankings again
Regarding regionalism, the southern region has dominated the rankings by dominating the top spot in the CBSE 10th and 12th board Result 2025 rankings. Trivandrum and Vijayawada were in the news as they shared the top spot in both CBSE 10th and 12th board results rankings this year with a pass percentage of 99.6% in class 12th and 99.7% in class 10th. Bengaluru and Chennai were among the high performers with 98.9% and 98.7% pass rates. On the other hand, Prayagraj and Guwahati did not perform well as they stood last in CBSE 10th and 12th board results with 79.8% (Prayagraj) and 83% (Guwahati).
Supplementary Exam Date and Pattern
In line with the National Education Policy, the Board has announced the revised supplementary scenario to improve CBSE 10th and 12th board results in 2025. Students can appear for supplementary exams in one subject of class 12th and in class 10th, students can appear for the supplementary exams in two subjects. The supplementary exam will be held in the first week of July 2025.
