Engineer Registration is Mandatory In India To Start The Practice

In India, Pharmacists, Doctors, architects, and lawyers have a registration and license to practice in India. These licenses are provided by the central government to start a professional practice in India. But, engineer registration is mandatory in the engineering field also.  In the past, engineers did not have any license or registration, but they have been practicing in India. But in the present, engineer registration is mandatory in India to start a professional practice in India.

Introducing the National Engineering Council

In India, like Pharmacists, chartered accountants, Doctors, and Company secretary but engineers did not have any license to start a practice in India but in India Engineer registration is mandatory There is are very rapid expansion growth of engineers in India, and the demand for engineers is very high in almost every field like like electrical field, mechanical, and construction field it is the growth of engineer. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has recommended to start a Indian Professional Engineers Council (IPEC). And, engineer registration is mandatory to start the practice professionally.

The professional engineer council will register and regulate through an engineer’s license. The (AICTE) All India Council for Technical Education has issued a draft to formalize by April 10. And engineers have started the practice they making the engineer registration is mandatory.

Members of The Engineer Council

In the engineer council total of 27 members, 16 are nominated members and 11 are representative members who are recognized by the engineering colleges, engineering institutes, or engineering universities. They will also include the education ministry, and IIT (Indian Institute of Engineering) director, and the chairman of AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education. And those also include those who have good knowledge of the engineering industry and the experts of the engineering industry. The chairman of the council was selected by ISC (Independent Search Committee). The government has take feedback from the public of the engineering council. The bill was approved based on public feedback.

Engineer registration is mandatory to start the practice it was a great step to ensuring a professional quality in the field of engineering.
