Nepal’s Interim PM is Expected to be Former CM Sushila Karki
There is a possibility that Nepal’s former Chief Minister Justice Sushila Karki being appointed as the interim Prime Minister after Gen Z protests, as KP Sharma had resigned.
Sushila Karki, who has been removed from the seat of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in 2017, just a month before her retirement by the Pm Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and a large number of MPs, suddenly blossomed into an amazing Gen Z’s choice for the PM office.
In Nepal, a massive protest that began on Monday against a ban on social media sites turned violent and left at least 31 people dead and more then 1033 injured. While the ban decision was withdrawn, but the movement continued and turned into a full-fledged anti-government movement. Under increasing pressure, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had to resign from the Prime Minister and the protesters set fire to government buildings and MP’s Residences.
The reporters said, citing a constitutional expert, “Sushila Karki will be appointed as the interim Prime Minister”. The expert was ordered by President Ramchandra Paudel and Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel.
Who is Sushila Karki, known about her:
Sushila Karki’s name came up as a contender in the PM race after the demonstrators consulted the Supreme Court Association’s Secretary. In the virtual meeting that lasted almost four-five hours long, Sushila Karki got more votes thean Balen Shah, who was considered a contender for the top post.

Born on June 7,1952 in Biratnagar in Morang district’s, Sushila Karki is the first woman to hold the post of Chief Justice of Nepal.
She obtained a becholor’s degree in mathematics from Mahendar Morang College in Biratnagar, and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Later he studied law from the Nepal’s Tribhuvan University.
Sushila Karki also has deep connections with India. While she recently admitting some things about his education in the beaches, he said that he still remembers his late teachers and friends. Sushila Karki said in an interview to CNN-News18, “I still remember my late teacher, my late friends.. I still remember the Ganga River. Apart from Ganagas there was also a Hostel there.
