UAE: A New Grand Hindu Temple Opened In Dubai, And Idols Of 16 Gods And Goddesses Were Installed

The new grand Hindu temple in Dubai, UAE was officially opened for devotees on October 4. This Hindu temple is in the Corridor of Tolerance in Jebel Ali, Emirate. The idols of 16 gods and goddesses of the Hindu religion are kept in the temple. There is also a knowledge room and community center for outreach activities. 

A new Hindu temple was officially inaugurated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 4, a day before Dussehra. The doors of this grand temple were officially opened in the presence of top dignitaries of India. This Hindu temple is located in the Emirate’s Corridor of Tolerance in Jebel Ali. The temple is spread over an area of 70,000 square feet. More than 200 dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony of the temple. 

Sanjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the UAE, Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, CEO of the Social Regulatory and Licensing Agency for Community Development Authority (CDA), and Dubai Hindu Temple trustee Raju Shroff were included. The special thing about this temple is that there are many religious places including a church, gurudwara in its premises. 

The Special Design of the Temple 

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the temple, Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir said, this is welcome news for the Indian community. This will fulfill the religious aspirations of a large population of Hindus living in the UAE. 

This Hindu temple in Dubai is a spiritual hub for all religions. The temple has a knowledge room with the installation of idols of 16 gods and goddesses of Hinduism and there is a community center for other religious activities.

According to the official website of the temple, this new Hindu temple will be open for devotees from 6.30 am to 8 pm. 1000 to 1200 people can gather in the temple daily. 

This Hindu temple is an example of cooperation from the Dubai government. The temple was completed in Dubai in 1958. From then till the opening of this new temple, we are grateful to the Dubai government. 

Let us tell you that this temple is the second Hindu temple in Dubai. India’s Ambassador to UAE said we are honored that Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al, Minister of Tolerance of UAE Nahyan inaugurated the new Hindu temple in Dubai today. We are grateful for the benevolence of the Government of Dubai in providing the land for the construction of the temple.

What is the Specialty of the Temple?

In this new temple of Dubai, there are idols of 16 gods and goddesses of the Hindu religion. Temple trustees say That the design of these statues is inspired by Mandala. Temple architect consultant Subhash Boite has played an important role in the construction of this temple using his 45 years of experience. 

There will be a prayer hall on the first floor of the temple, where 16 gods and goddesses of Hindus will be worshipped. Along with this, there will also be a separate room to keep the holy book of Sikhs, Guru Granth Sahib.

These areas include a 4,000-square-foot banquet hall, a multipurpose room, and a knowledge room, Which is on the ground floor. Several LCD screens will also be installed in the community hall and knowledge room.
