PETA Wrote Letter:

PETA is staffed by people who advocate for the ethical treatment of animals. It is a non-governmental organization (NGO), working towards eliminating animal abuse in society. Now PETA wrote a letter to the makers of Bigg Boss. In this letter sent on Wednesday, PETA has said that they are receiving complaints from the public regarding the donkey being in the show. People are very upset by this. The team has also urged co-host Salman Khan to stop producers from using animals for entertainment.

The letter reads, ‘This will not only end the pressure on the animal but will also be a great example for the spectators. We request you also request the lawyer Gunaratna Sadavarte, who reportedly brought his donkey Max to the show, to hand over the donkey to PETA India. We will shelter him in a sanctuary with rescued donkeys. The lawyer’s fans will also be happy with this.

Bigg Boss Using Animals in Show

It is further written, ‘Bigg Boss is a comedy show, but using animals in it is no laughing matter. Donkeys are naturally nervous animals. For them and other animals, the lights, sounds, and noises on show sets are confusing and scary. It is clear to the audience that there is no room for any animal on a TV show, so they are saddened to see the donkey trapped in a small space.

PETA has also advised in its letter that donkeys are social animals and their welfare lies in living in a herd. It also responds to claims that Sadavarte is using this donkey for research related to milk. The PETA India team has clarified that donkeys produce milk only for their children. It is also written that this is not the first time that an animal has been brought into Bigg Boss. Earlier, a dog, a parrot, and a fish have also been brought as contestants in the show. This letter has been written to Salman Khan, Viacom 18 Network (which owns Colors channel), and production house Banijay Asia.
