Pyongyang: Last week, North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile called Hwasong 19. Talking about the range of this missile, it reached a height of 7687 meters before falling into the sea between Russia and Japan. Both South Korea and Japan were keeping track of its flight in space. It is considered to be one of the most powerful missiles ever built. Dictator Kim Jong Un gave the direct order for its test. He has described this test as a justified military action.
North Korea’s Missile Went 1000 Km Away:
In a statement, dictator Kim Jong Un said that I confirm that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will never change its policy to strengthen its nuclear forces. Japan and South Korea said the 87-minute flight of the Hwasong 19 missile took off from a site near Pyongyang and traveled about 1,000 kilometers before falling into the sea 200 kilometers west of Japan’s Okushiri Island.

Missile Test Done With Russia’s Help:
The Hwasong-19 missile’s high-speed flight was intended to test its thrust and stability at a range much shorter than its designed range. Seoul-based military analysts said the launch was probably to test booster improvements to existing ICBMs, possibly with Russian assistance. In the same week of the missile launch, North Korea sent about 8,000 troops to support Russian operations in Kursk Oblast near the Ukrainian border. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned that engaging in combat would make them legitimate military targets.
America Within Range of Hwasong-19 Missile:
North Korea first tested the Hwasong-19 in December 2023. The missile flew for 73 minutes. Experts noted that this equates to a potential range of 15,000 kilometers on a typical trajectory, which would put its range right up to the US border. Japan, the United States, and South Korea condemned the launch, scheduled for October 31, 2023. The White House said in a statement that the launch was a “blatant violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.” The test “unnecessarily escalates tensions and poses a risk of destabilizing the security situation in the region.”
