What is a Solar Panel And How to Create

We often hear about solar panels, But many times this question may come to our mind what is a solar panel? How it is made? How does it work? Today we will give you all the information related to it. We know that a very common use of it, With solar panels, sunlight can be converted into electricity used in homes.

A solar plate is made by connecting small solar cells. When sunlight falls on this solar plate, the heat generated from it is converted into electrical energy. We also know the use of electricity very well. Electricity has a huge contribution to the development of human life.

Nowadays, life without electricity seems impossible. Many methods are used to generate electricity, one of which is solar panels. Today in this post we will give you essential information related to it.

What is a Solar Panel

It is made of solar cells. There are many small solar cells inside a solar panel. Many such small solar cells together form a large solar panel. Usually, it is made by connecting 60 or 72 solar cells. This solar cell is made of silicon. These small layers of silicon are also called photovoltaic cells.

When the sun’s rays fall on these solar cells, they become hot due to the heat. After receiving heat, the electrons present in the solar cell start moving. Due to the movement of electrons the flow of electricity starts. Rashi: Small solar cells together make a panel and electricity is generated.

Nowadays it has become very easy to generate electricity from solar panels. To generate electricity from it we do not need any additional fuel or energy. Solar panels can generate electricity only through sun rays through which we can fulfill the electricity needs of our homes, big factories, airports, railway stations, etc. There is no pollution in generating electricity from it and it is also considered environment friendly.

What is a Solar Cell

The solar cell is a device that converts the heat received from the sun’s rays into electrical energy. Silicon is used to make solar cells. Silicon is a semiconductor material. There are two layers of silicon in a solar cell. These layers are called the P and N types. P and N mean Positive and Negative. When sunlight falls on it, the flow of electrons starts.

Uses of Solar Panel

Well, by now we must have understood the main uses of it. As we know the main use of solar panels is to generate electricity from sunlight.

  • They are used to make biscuits used in homes.
  • Some electronic gadgets nowadays are made to be charged by solar.
  • In today’s time, such electric vehicles have come which run on electricity generated by them.
  • What Are The Advantages?
  • This is the only such device capable of converting solar energy into electric energy.
  • The electricity generated by them does not cause any harm to the environment.
  • There is no need to burn any kind of fuel to generate electricity through them. Due to this, the surrounding environment remains pure.

What Are The Disadvantages?

  • The efficiency is very low, around 25%.
  • The electricity generated from them is DC and the appliances used in our homes run on AC. Therefore, an inverter has to be used to convert DC into AC.
  • They do not generate electricity at night, and a larger capacity battery must be used to store the electricity generated during the day.
